Jay Ginder began making Custom Hardwood Furniture in his garage in the 1980's.  While in school, wood shop was his favorite class so no one was surprised when he started a construction business soon after graduating.  He enjoyed building homes until hip replacement surgery forced him into an office.  Before long his yearning for wood working became too strong to ignore and the garage was converted into a full time wood shop.  As the business grew, it moved several times until it found its permanent home in 2006 at 129 Cumberland St. Lebanon, PA.

Because of Jay's appreciation for  fine craftsmanship, the antique business was a natural match for his talents.  He started restoring pieces for customers replacing broken or missing pieces.  It brings him great joy to restore what appears to be a pile of junk to a beautiful useable piece of furniture.

He loves to attend antique auctions and has expanded his showroom to accomodate a large inventory of both restored and original antique furniture.   Every piece is gone over before it goes in the showroom, with every drawer functional and every door working properly.  Some are refinished to their former beauty others are left in their original state.
